                           States, Problems and Guidelines on Operations in Strategic Management of Islamic

                                                          ABSTRACT

                                     The purposes of this research were to study and compare operations in strategic

                      management of Islamic private schools under the Office of Private Education, Pattani Province
                      based on position, age, educational qualification, work experiences, and school sizes and to collect

                      information about the problems and to propose guidelines on operations in strategic management of

                      the schools. The samples used in this research consisted of 33 school directors, 132 heads of

                      administrative section and 33 school teachers, making a total of 198 samples. The data was collected
                      with questionnaires and interviews. The collected quantitative data was analyzed by statistical

                      software computer program to report descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean,

                      standard deviation, t-test and F-test. And the qualitative data was analyzed by content analysis.
                                     It was found from this study that the level of operations in strategic management

                      of Islamic private schools for the overall level was high. Considering each dimension, it was found

                      that the level of the implementation of school strategy, the analysis of the school environment and
                      the formulation of school strategy were high. While, the level of the formulation of school direction

                      and the operation in strategic control, monitor and evaluation of the schools were moderate. On the

                      comparative analysis of operations in strategic management of Islamic private schools, the results
                      showed that the level of operations in strategic management of the schools was found to have a

                      statistically significant differences at .05 between group with respect to position, age, educational

                      qualification, work experiences, and school sizes for most of overall and each dimension.

                                     The problems and the proposed suggestions on operations in strategic management
                      of Islamic private schools can be concluded into 5 dimensions as below:- 1) On the analysis of the

                      school environment. 2)On the formulation of school direction.3)On the formulation of school

                      strategy. 4) On the implementation of school strategy and 5)On the operation in strategic control,

                      monitor and evaluation of the schools.
