selection of vegetation along the protocol road did not reflect the image and identity of the royal town.

Figure 5 depicts the final composite map of royal town image enhancement study in Pekan,
Pahang. The final composite map consists of consolidated information of individual layer map such as the
abovementioned vegetation attribute and other assigned attributes. The overlayed maps were scored
accordingly based on the developed scoring or rating criteria. There were three (3) scoring range – low
suitability for development, medium suitability for development and high suitability of development.
Figure 6 also shows the operation of suitability analysis on a final composite map for Selayang-Rawang
region.
