ABSTRACT
Due to the inherent ambiguities associated with the term "Mujarad" in the domain of aesthetics,
the concept of "Mujarad" has been relatively unexplored in academic discourse. Nonetheless, the artistic
works of Malaysian Malay artists exemplify "Mujarad" organically. Significantly, the conceptual
foundations of "Mujarad" closely align with the fundamental Islamic concept of "Tawhid" Therefore, the
primary purpose of this study is to employ a conceptual analysis methodology to conduct an exhaustive
investigation into the relationship between "Mujarad" and "Tawhid". According to the content analysis,
when artists focus on these two notions, art becomes a means for them to connect with the divine and
convey profoundly spiritual experiences. This clarifies any confusion between the two concepts and
provides a clearer understanding of their aesthetic relationship. Furthermore, the dissertation examines
how contemporary Muslim artists have interpreted these concepts in their artwork in light of
contemporary influences. In addition, the influence of Sufi beliefs on artistic depictions of unity is
investigated. It examines the historical and cultural influences on Islamic art from various cultures.
Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to provide a comprehensive examination of the manifestation of
"Mujarad" within the realm of Malay arts, thereby casting light on the abstract interaction between these
philosophical concepts.
