Time: Theatre Production Requirements

In visualizing the environmental setting for Kopiah Putih & Gincu that has to be staged in Solo,
Indonesia, the mobility and flexibility of a theatre touring production between space, time, economical
design, personnel, and audience interaction need to be taken into account. Yadav (2022) suggests that
“preparation list such as set packing list, and production checklists is crucial for traveling theatre
company's production requirement as well as the documentation of technical paperwork, such as
technical rider, stage, light, set, sound, costume, dressing room and personal requirements, plan and
section of the set, light and sound plots, cue sheet, channel hookups, instrument schedule and others” (p.
59). However, the production requirement does not include the set or props design and planning for
touring theatrical productions. Therefore, this theatre scenographic performance project that traveled
over 2000km, aims to succinctly, within the limited time of a 15-minute set-up in a small open-space, as
well as the small number of production team members and budget.
