Table 2 shows the names of the stories that reflect the content of local knowledge stories, local
history, and moral stories. These instructional materials reflected local knowledge, local history, and moral
guidance and also show the cooperation among community researchers who are trying to revitalize their
local knowledge.

3) The teaching methods have different instructional materials types, the following;
- Storytelling: The teacher can teach storytelling by telling a story with an exciting voice and
asking predictive questions. After that, the teacher has the command to student tell a story one by one
and roles play from the story together. This method can help the students develop listening and speaking
skills and make them assured.
- Picture story: In the first step, the teacher introduces each picture to the students. The
students can look at and touch the pictures. After that, a group of students hold up a picture and explain
the story behind the picture to each other. In the next step, students tell a new story and sort the pictures
by themselves. This method develops higher-level and creative thinking in the students.
- Big book: In the first step, the teacher introduces a picture on each page to students, then
reads the whole book and points to the sentence for the first time. At this point students only listen. After
that, the teacher and students read together. In the next step, the teacher can test students by reading
the sentence individually or in groups. This method can help students to read the book with confidence.
Participation of the community
There are two types of community participation:
1) Participation in project activities: The Tadika Cemerlang project promotes participation of the
community in all activities. All of the participants have different roles in activities. For example, the
community leaders, Imams, and local scholars were the key to sharing local knowledge with the next
generation by sharing information or telling stories and describing local history. Teachers and youth
