Local communication wisdom encompasses various components, such as language, art,
customs, and beliefs, which are unique to each community. By using these components in

communication, individuals can preserve and promote their local culture and values. Thus, the
concept of locality is closely connected to local communication wisdom, as it is through
communication that individuals can share and preserve their local identity and traditions.
Moreover, local communication wisdom is not limited to individuals but involves the community
as a whole. It reflects the society's norms, customs, and beliefs and plays a vital role in building a
sense of community and belonging. When a culture, language, and communication are useful and
unique to a community, they constitute local knowledge. (Kartika, 2016)

Constructive Communication
Efficient communication plays an indispensable role in the accomplishment of successful

interpersonal relationships. The process involves the delivery of clear and concise information
that is easily understandable, while simultaneously exhibiting respect and support for
heterogeneous viewpoints. Constructive communication is typified by inclusivity and
empowerment, facilitating all participants to express their opinions and cultivating a culture of
collaboration and cooperation towards mutually favorable consequences (Connor,2013).
The development of a constructive communication process aimed at ensuring the preservation
of heritage for future generations. By fostering constructive communication and collaboration, it
is possible to create a sustainable framework for heritage preservation that benefits present and
future generations.

METHODOLOGY
This research employed a qualitative approach and relied on primary data sources. The
original data were derived from original script in order to analyse and delineate the many parts
of the study. The necessary data entailed the process of mapping local communication wisdom
values within the text, which was afterward followed by a study of the outcomes derived from
mapping the preservation of culture.
This study will conduct a content analysis of the script and performances of "Theatre
Tanjong" to gain a deeper understanding of its local communication wisdom. The data collection
techniques were content analysis and thematic analysis from the script. The data was processed

using thematic analysis to find the themes and categories that related to local communication
wisdom and its role in preserving the culture.
