The Georgetown Project Website
In 2022, the Taiping project continued to create a website (https://www.heritagetaiping.com/)
(refer to Figure 12). The website serves as a digital platform for visitors to interact with during the
exhibition. At the same time, it is a stand-alone heritage portal that anyone from anywhere in the world
could use. Visitors can learn about the heritage assets of Taiping from the interactive maps, narratives,
graphics, video documentaries and e-books. Furthermore, the Taiping project team explored new
approaches for visitors to experience Taiping through holograms, virtual reality, and augmented reality.
The digital tools have attracted much visitor interest and made learning about heritage more engaging.
