issues and make the production of props more sustainable. The use of craft techniques in making props is
not only about creating physical objects, but also about creating works of art that affect the experience
and appreciation in performing arts. Props produced using craft techniques can enrich the performance
and provide a deeper dimension in the creation of theatrical art.

Conclusion

Craft art skills in the preparation of props or sets for the purpose of theatre performances have a
function and purpose of creation which is related to the storyline displayed. Craft art indeed has a number
of specification divisions that should be planned at an early stage before going beyond the preparation
stage, such as the function and purpose of creation, the selection of materials, techniques and operating
systems, consumerism, size and physical properties of the product, suitability of the concept and genre of
the story as well as the impact of creation and used in performances. The production of craft art does not
depend on the price value and the selection of expensive materials to be used as a guarantee for the
production of a product that gives an impact in the presentation, but instead is concerned with the
components and all the values of the specifications of the comprehensive manufacturing process and can
even be produced with the use of cheaper materials.
