                                                          ABSTRACT



                                 The objectives of the research were: 1) to study the level of leadership of Imam in

                       managing provision of mosque-based educational centers (Tadika) in Narathiwat province;  2) to

                       study the level of roles of Imam in managing provision of mosque-based educational centers
                       (Tadika) in Narathiwat province; 3) to compare the level of leadership of Imam in managing

                       provision of mosque-based educational centers (Tadika) in Narathiwat province;  4) to compare

                       the level of roles of Imam in managing provision of mosque-based educational centers (Tadika) in
                       Narathiwat province;  5) to study approaches in developing the leadership and roles of Imam in

                       managing  provision  of  mosque-based  educational  centers  (Tadika)  in  Narathiwat  province.

                       The sample group in the study was 234 Imams in Narathiwat province and 12 experts in putting
                       approaches in developing the leadership and roles of Imam in managing. The study was divided

                       into 2 steps: 1) survey research step in which the questionnaire about the leadership and roles of

                       Imam  in  managing  provision  of  mosque-based  educational  centers  (Tadika)  in  Narathiwat

                       province was used the tool ; 2) group discussion in which record form of group discussion was
                       used as the tool. The statistics used in the study were: frequency, percentage, average, standard

                       deviation, F value and two tests as the approach of scheffe.

                                 The results

                                 1. The level of leadership of Imam in the field of the responsibility, the vision, the
                       participating management and the monitoring process in general were in the “Very Much” level.

                                 2. The level of roles of Imam in the field of the academic affairs, personal managing

                       affairs, public relationship affairs, student affairs, administration and monetary affairs in general
                       were in the “Very Much” level.
