The dancer raises the right hand in a curve with the right palm pointing forward with the
movement motif of the hand position Limbai Menapak, and the left hand straightens on the left side of
the body with the movement motif of the hand position Cubit Kain. The movement motif of the foot
position Langkah Silang Sangkut with the right foot stepping and moving one forward on every bit 4.
Toh Lai Chee (2006) states that the Anak Menora Dance is accompanied by the Anak Menora song,
marked by a gong every eight beats, a mong every two beats, and a kettle every four beats. The beat of
the rebana ibu is played with the rebana penganak in a different 8-bit beat. The rebana ibu and rebana
penganak create an 8-bit resulting beat. A close relationship can be detected between the colotomy
structure and the rhythm of the Anak Menora Song with the change of movement position and the rhythm
of the Anak Menora dance moves. A tick marked on each bit 4 signals switching hand position movements.

Anak Menora Song Notation (Toh Lai Chee, 2006)
Based on the Western music notation/score from Toh Lai Chee (2006) (Refer to Figure 1.9) and the
traditional music score from Kamarul Baisah (2017) (Refer to Figure 1.10), the song Puteri Mabuk starts
from the beginning of the rebana ibu being hammered interspersed with the first sound of the gong (4
bits) and continues with 8-bits which is an Anak Menora song played accompanied by dance movements.
Each notation/score of this traditional music will repeat 13 times the music is played.
