Thesis Title School Management according to Good Governance in Islam
of Islamic Private School Administrators in Narathiwat Province

ABSTRACT
This research entitled School Management according to Good Governance
in Islam of Islamic Private School Administrators in Narathiwat Province aimed ; 1) to
analyze components of good governance in Islam of Islamic private school administrators in
Narathiwat Province, 2) to examine the states of school management according to good
governance in Islam of Islamic private school administrators in Narathiwat Province, and 3)
to compare the states of school management according to good governance in Islam of
Islamic private school administrators in Narathiwat Province. The samples consisting of
531 Islamic private school teachers in Narathiwat Province were divided to 2 groups. The
first group is selected for exploratory analysis consisted of 190 teachers. The second group,
comprising of 341 samples, was used for a study and a comparison of the states of school
management according to good governance in Islam of Islamic private school administrators
in Narathiwat Province. The research instrument was the questionnaires. Data was analysed
using factor analysis and descriptive statistics, frequency statistics, percentage, arithmetic
mean, standard deviations and F-test.
The results of the study indicate that good governance in Islam consists of 3
components with 23 indicators. Of these, Akhlaq (Moral) with 11 indictors, Ibadah
(Worship) with 6 indictors and Shura (Participation) with 6 indicators. The components
are found to be reliable and the internal consistency is very high. The states of school
management according to good governance in Islam of Islamic private school administrators
in Narathiwat Province was at “high” level. The comparison of the states of school
management according to good governance in Islam of Islamic private school administrators
in Narathiwat Province for the 3 components reveals that ages , educational levels and
experiences are found to be insignificantly different with the exception of school size.
