regarding the importance of embedded messages has resulted in the current carvings lacking depth. By
offering a systematic sequence that summarises the existence of the three main subjects and their
respective core components (A, B, and C), carvers and any carving institution can elevate their valuable
stance. Complementary and harmonious forms when relating Islamic values and traditional Malay wood
carving make the carvings a way of revealing and preserving the spiritual (A), cultural (B), and artistic (C)
aspects in the context of Malay society. As a consequence, the carving crafts created in (C) epitomise the
interrelation of Islamic values as part of lifestyles and extend to be a signature of religious devotion for
Islam in the culture of the Malay world. With this, it is highly recommended for the modern generation to
increase their awareness and appreciate the intricate beauty that exists in this relationship.

               Conclusion

It is crucial to acknowledge the existing correlation between the spirit of Islam, Malay society, and
Islamic-compliant carved ornamentation. Islamic values have played an important role in relating to Malay
society through traditional Malay wood carvings. The presence of these values has made a significant
impact on embracing Islam. These traditional carvings can only be accessed through Malay society, which
prioritises Islam and its teachings. Not only for traditional Malay wood carvings, but other forms of
traditional Islamic art also already exist in the presence of Islamic values. Each core component
demonstrates how they are perfectly and systematically arranged, highlighting the beauty of how Islam
guides Malay society. These core components cannot be replaced or altered with other arrangements or
components. Furthermore, traditional Malay wood carvings can only be produced with the influence of
Islam, not the other way around. By continuing to uphold the virtues of Islamic values, it is hoped that
present-day carvers can create ideal and meaningful carvings. Preserving this relationship and its
knowledge might help improve awareness in current Malay society regarding the importance of the
systematic sequence between the spirit of Islam, Malay society, and Malay wood carvings. Embracing Islam
from the beginning helps society integrate it into their daily lives. Ultimately, this justifies the relationship
and high priority of Islam for Malay society, which embeds Islamic values in their production of wood
carvings as part of cultural preservation.
