MUSLIMS ON THE ISLAND OF SAMUI, SOUTH OF THAILAND:
                                            A HISTORICAL DESCRIPTIVE STUDY

                                                          Abstrak


                         This research article has the aim to study the history of the Muslim community

               in the Koh Samui region. The researcher adopted the historical descriptive approach


               by collecting data from various sources that include books, university theses, scientific
               articles, electronic scientific networks, and personal interviews that are relevant to


               reaching the desired results.
                         The results of the research concluded that most of the Muslim community in


               the Koh Samui area migrated from abroad. By coming to fish I use Koh Samui as a
               shelter from the storms. It is a temporary residence. Even the increased population


               made the Koh Samui area a permanent place of residence. So far
