SENDAYUNG DANCE MOVEMENT ANALYSIS

The Sendayung dance is the last dance performed in the Berjalan dance, which is followed
by the Gambang dance with musical accompaniment through Sendayung instrumental songs without
singing continuously in the same circle.

Based on Figure 1.19 is an arrangement and sequence of Sendayung Dance movements after
Gambang Dance movements are performed. The movement begins with the motif of the movement of
the hand position of Lenggang Sisi, with the movement of the foot position of the Langkah Berganda
stepping in the same formation in a circle or circle. Followed by the movement motif of the hand position
Limbai Tarik and the movement motif of the foot position Langkah Lompat Kuda.
The movements of the Sendayung dance correspond to the colotomy structure marked by gongs
and kecerek and the rhythm produced by the beat of the rebana. At each beat two marked by the kettle,
the dancer alternates the Limbai Tarik hand position movement by straightening the left arm to swinging
the left arm at chest level alternately. The dancer swings the left hand up on each beat four and alternates
foot beats on each beat four guided by the colotomy structure marked by the gong on beat 4 in a 4-beat
beat cycle produced by the increased beating of the rebana.
