Thesis Title Problems and Guidelines for development of Academic Affairs Management
in Islamic Private Schools under the Jurisdiction of the Office of Private

ABSTRACT
This research aimed to examine problems and compare Academic Affairs
Management in Islamic Private Schools under the Jurisdiction of the Office of Private Education,
Pattani Province as perceived by teachers based on age, educational qualifications, work
experiences and school size and to propose guidelines for developing academic affairs
Management in Islamic Private Schools under the Jurisdiction of the Office of Private Education,
Pattani Province. The samples of the study include 390 teachers in Islamic Private Schools under
the Jurisdiction of the Office of Private Education, Pattani Province, and 9 interviewees. The
Questionnaire and interview were used to collect research data. The statistics employed to analyze
the data consists of percentage, average, standard deviation, T (t-test) and F (F-test).
The findings of this study were as follows: Problems of Academic Affairs
Management in Islamic Private Schools under the Jurisdiction of the Office of Private Education,
Pattani Province, for the overall level was high. Considering each dimension of its problems, it
was found that the level of problem in curriculum, assessment and evaluation were high. While,
the level of problems in leaning process and media and technology used for teaching and learning
were moderate. On the comparation analysis of problems of Academic Affairs Management, in
Islamic Private Schools under the Jurisdiction of the Office of Private Education, Pattani
Province, the research showed that there were no significant different for overall level of the
problems based on age, educational qualifications, work experiences and school size. However, a
statistically significant difference of problems of Academic Affairs Management based on
educational qualifications and work experiences was found at 0.05.
