Thesis Title The Implementation of Self Quality Assurance in Islamic Private
Schools in Satun Province

ABSTRACT
This research aims 1) to examine the operation of internal quality assurance in
Islamic private schools as perceived by school administrators and teachers 2) to compare opinions
of school administrators and teachers of Islamic private school in Satun on the level of internal
quality assurance operation based on their gender, position, age, working experience, school size
and educational qualification and 3) to compile suggestions and solutions to the problems related
to internal quality assurance operation in Islamic private schools in Satun. The samples used in
this study were 202 teachers,16 administrators of Islamic private schools in Satun and 10 expert
panels from Satun.
Results of the study are as follows;
1) Regarding to internal quality assurance operation in Islamic private schools in
Satun, the results showed that the overall level of all dimensions, namely, preparation, planning,
taking action according to the plan, examining evaluation results, taking evaluation results for
work improvement and making an annual report was high.
2) Regarding to the comparison of opinions of school administrators and
teachers on the level of internal quality assurance operation based on their demographic variables
(gender, position, age, educational qualification, working experience and school size), the results
showed that there were no significant different for overall and each dimension of internal quality
assurance operation based on gender and position. A statistically significant difference at .05 was
found for overall dimensions of internal quality assurance operation based on age difference.
