EGAT kicked off the ‘Participatory
One-Million-Rai Reforestation Project’
by planting the first 10 rai at Mu Ko
Chumphon National Park in Chumphon
Province. A total of 7,000 Fish Poison
trees and mangrove trees were
planted. These kinds of trees help
prevent coastal erosion as well as
serve as a natural barrier for coastal
protection and a shelter for marine
animals to lay and hatch eggs.
