Thesis Title The Methodology in Da‘awah of Muslim Women
Organization in three Southern Border Provinces and Bangkok

ABSTRACT
This research aims to study 1) the Da‘awah of Muslims’ women in
Islamic Perspective using 2) the methodology in Da‘awah of Ummahāt Al-Mu’minīn
in the early ages 3) The Methodology in Da‘awah of Muslim women organization in
southern border provinces and Bangkok. The research was conducted by using
document and field studies by In-depth Interview aims at 11 leaders from 6 Muslim
women organizations in three southern border provinces and Bangkok. The six
organizations are 1) Women's Affairs of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth 2)
Muslimah’s Network Yala of The Young Muslim Association of Thailand 3) Muslim
Women of Pattani society 4) Muslimah of Narathiwat society 5) Banat al-Huda group
(Ladies of the Guidance Society) and 6) Islam Talk group. The method used in
analyzing data is descriptive approach. The results of this study were as follows:
1) Da‘awah is a religious commandment for both Muslimīn and
Muslimah, which had compulsory to practice Da‘awah for both Muslimīn and
Muslimah, Yet the Islamic’s scholars still have differnet opinions whether it was Fardฺ
u‘īn or Fardฺ u kifāyah. The muslim women who wish to be al-Dā‘iy need some
preparation in both theoretical and practical aspects. In theory it always includes
seeking for Islamic knowledge, develops spiritual as well as social skill. And in
practice it need participating in particular training programs in order to learn mediate
in practicing Da‘awah. Moreover it is necessary to be learn some guidelines or

methods in Da‘awah which include H ikmah method, good advice, better argument
etc.

2) Ummahāt Al-Mu’minīn were women whom Prophet Muh ammad
married with and did not divorced them after that. As for women who present
themselves to him, female slaves, and women whom he engaged with but did not
married, all of these were not count as Ummahāt Al-Mu’minīn. They were women
who took part in Da‘awah. For this study the researcher chose six of them which they
are Khadījah Binti Khuwaylid, Sawdah Binti Zam‘ah, ‘Aā‘īshah Binti Abu bakr, Hafs ฺ
ah Binti ‘Umar, ’Ummu Salāmah and lastly Zainab Binti Jahsh . Their Da‘awah, at
that time, went on individually (Fardiyah) having no corporation under any names nor
work breakdown structure. It continued in various ways according to the social
context of that time. The Da‘awah framework that can be synthesized from Hadith and
historic events are 5 ways as follows; 1) strengthening the morale 2) being a good role
model 3) spreading of the Islamic knowledge 4) reminded with a proper way
